Sushi!

Today at work we had a 'Strategy day'. After lunch, and a further hour of brainstorming, we were informed of our surprise: the rest of the afternoon was to be spent at a cookery school, learning the art of sushi!

It was rather fun, and I didn't do too badly at all considering it was my first time.

The method is simple, but fiddly (slap sticky rice on your nori, add your chopped veg, etc.) and roll it up with a little mat. Easy! (Er....., well, sort of).
They hadn't catered for a vegetarian, but we made a layered omelette which I sliced up thinly.
Some things I could add at home would be advocado, mango, tofo, quorn etc.

We all were allowed to take our 'rolls' home with us, and mine is in the fridge ready to be taken to work for tomorrow's lunch.

The photo is of the kitchen we prepared our food in, you can just see the tables covered in metres of cling film (this was taken before we all made a mess with sticky rice....)
