A bright Autumn day

This is the part of the South Section of the Historic Horseshoe Moat where I take a lot of my Duck and Bird photos.
It dates back to the 1480's when it once enclosed the mansion occupied by the Barr family and later the Newton family,made famous by the Scientist Sir Isaac Newton?
The moat still remains a very significant part of the 'Kings Forest' of Kingswood's Medieval history.
I have live here since 1971 and have seen the destruction of history first hand by over zealous developers making a quick buck!
But at least we still have the Moat! FOR NOW??
