A Special Day

The forecasters were right, of course, and today was a distinct improvement on yesterday.

We were able to do yesterday's planned walk around the Chatsworth Estate in gorgeous sunshine. Then moved on to Southwell for our Anniversary Dinner. An absolute contrast to our previous hotel, this one is 12th Century and many historical characters have been guests here : Richard I, King John, James I, Charles I, Lord Byron and Dickens to name a few.

The floors are so uneven, we've already learned not to put anything down on the furniture because it just rolls off again!
