A gift from the lake

This view from our deck...after a fantastic day of hiking on Mt. Rose and wading in Sand Harbor...was such a blessing for our last evening here.

We have had a most perfect week here, every day full of sunshine and adventures we will treasure for a lifetime. This lake is such a part of our lives even though we live thousands of miles away, and don't visit nearly enough!!

We had panoramic views from the open mountainside above Lake Tahoe, and also from the scenic vista point on the highway from Reno. I wish I could post them all, but this was so special I had to use it.

The line of cloud is actually smoke from a controlled burn that we watched all day from above!

Tomorrow we head to the airport to begin the long journey home.
