Foggy Moonset
This scene awaited me when I arose this morning, and by the time I got the camera on a tripod outside, I had time for two shots before the fog completely obscured the moon.
Here's a bittersweet blip story. On Wednesday we were taking Kirby for a walk at our favorite dog park, Minto Brown Park outside of Salem. I saw a familiar looking dog, one that I thought I had blipped back in February. I asked a lady if it was her dog, and she said yes. I told her about my picture of it I blipped, and she said that her dog she had then had died later in the spring. The one we saw yesterday was a near-clone, in our estimation. We exchanged email addresses and I sent her the link to the blip page. She emailed back and said it was indeed her late dog. His name was Montague, and he died at only three of a brain tumor. I photographed him on February 24, and he was gone by early June. She said she was truly heartbroken at his passing, but she was so happy that I had photographed him. I think I will have the photo enlarged and give it to her as a gift. Here's the page of Montague on my blip. He's the flying-eared bundle of bliss on the left. I am glad I could capture him in such a joyful moment.
