Cake the First

It's m'boy's 1st birthday tomorrow.

This time a year ago we were excitedly making our way to the hospital with bags packed and high hopes for a quick and easy birth. Amazing how wrong you can be...

Fortunately, when he did eventually arrive and with a little bit of assistance he was fine and has brightened our lives every day since. We didn't want to make too much of a fuss on his first birthday as he wouldn't really know what was going on, but let's be honest: you can't have a birthday without cake!
