Got a text from the wife this morning. She tried to walk babe around the park but found the place swarming with armed police and news helicopters.

Turns out an old guy had gone mental and started to shoot up his apartment. One shot apparently went through the notoriously thin walls houses have over here. Luckily no one was hurt and the guy gave himself up after a few hours of standoff with the police. For the full story see here

In other news I got an unexpected call from the HR guy at life tech following up from the phone interview I had on Monday. Didn't think I stood a chance not having the right experience but either they liked what I said or they couldn't find anyone decent and they have asked me in for a face to face interview sometime soon. Time to do some swatting up!
