Beachy

We went to the beach after school today, just for a bit of sunshine and zen. I needed some zen as we were waiting for news from my brother. My nephew was admitted to hospital yesterday, and he had a CT scan this morning which showed a growth on his kidney, and some growths in his lungs. He had to have a biopsy this afternoon. He's 8.

We spent some time with a friend after this photo, it is her birthday, so we celebrated with her, first for a swift cider at the Jolly Roger, followed by a takeaway tea at her place.
