Baby Brackets

As I am working overnight Saturday to support deployment of an upgrade to our system I was "let out early" today, so once again headed to the woods at Deepcut for more fungus foraging.

Just a few steps from the lay-by where I park the car, I saw a pile of tree trunks left to rot, probably oak. They were playing host to a large colony of bracket fungi. I rather liked these baby ones.
