Brrr!
Definitely not a day for taking a dip in the loch but these are wonderful sculptures by the artist Rob Mulholland. There are four in total and they are like mirrors reflecting Loch Earn whether calm or with waves although I found that difficult to capture today with such low light conditions. The sculptures are beside a jetty in front of The Four Seasons Hotel in St Fillans where fellow blipper alisdairb and Mrs B are staying for a few days. Apparently the sculptures - called The Four Seasons - suggest the passing of time and the natural cycle of the seasons together with a sense of homecoming as the figures look out towards the water in anticipation of the return of friends and family.
The photo is not taken in black and white mode - it is simply the weather which has leached the colour! You can however see all the dots on the water showing the heavy rain.
Following a very, very wet walk on the moor with my two chums i enjoyed a delightful afternoon as alisdairb and Mrs B dropped in for a cuppa and chat. Needless to say photography was high on the list of topics and it was a real pleasure to be in their company again.
