Pheasant

This isn't the kind of bird I really expected would be taking advantage of the bird feeders, but a very welcome visitor. We haven't seen much sign of him of late.

I managed to read a book from beginning to end this afternoon while lying on the couch. Lynne Moriarty's The Husband's Secret. A set of interlocking tales with all sorts of issues about how life would have turned out if people had made different choices in their lives and how your actions can lead to outcomes you can't imagine.

It's been a fantastically lazy day; a wet Saturday should be a day for completely decadent, guilt-free lazing.

Now time to think about how duff the weather is likely to be in the morning and whether a wee trip for a swim would be a good plan...
