nonsense

the girls are full of nonsense just now, enjoying their holidays and excited about halloween. beth and daisy stayed up late to watch forest gump tonight - they enjoyed it apart from the mild saucy scenes, although I think daisy was watching through her fingers.

peggy watched something a bit more age-appropriate in her bed...which reminded me of two separate occasions when I was wee when I was removed from the living room because something was on telly. first one was deliverance and I was told to go and play outside (while everyone else got to watch it!) and the second was billy connolly live where my papa insisted on taking me out to ride my bike. he'd never shown much interest in my cycling skills before that...
