..of Scouriemore. The views from these cottages are quite stunning with vistas out to Handa Island and Stoer. I had other images but loved the way the sun caught this.

There has been heavy rain in S and E Scotland, we had 1.5 mm over night, the first rain for 10 days.

The nights are really drawing in now. It was gone 8 when I shut the hens up a few weeks ago, but the streetlamps were on at 6:15 tonight. The mornings are getting darker as well. The sun is racing southwards across the horizon when it rises, and in mid winter rises above the rock to the right of these cottages at around 9:30. At the moment we first see the sun over the hill opposite at around 8:30..
