Autumn - View from the bathroom - Trail's End '13

Cold and breezy combined with rain the last couple days have taken a large toll onthe remaining leaves in the forest surrounding my home. Many browns and yellows have fallen, leaving the still-turning as highlights amongst the grey limbs.

This is the view that greeted me this morning. I was struck with the vibrancy, and dashed for my Nikon. I took the mosquito screen out and steadied the camera on the sill. A very mild rain was coming down, but I tweaked the curves in post to reveal the clarity. Very pleasing, IMHO.

The last couple days took all my strength to treat patients, but I'm happy to say that although I was tested by one of my most complex & risky cases ever, I persevered and she's on the mend. (I was fortunate to see the healed neck fracture from the auto accident 23 years ago that seemed to escape her previous physicians.)

Halfway to my goal of 170! Down 17 lbs this am.
