reopen

this is Shandwick place in Edinburgh, 0.15 miles. This street reopened yesterday after being closed for about 2 years for the trams ,this was the second time this stretch was closed before it was for preparation ie move of pipes etc which only lasted about 6 months. to a year. This time was for the rails and wires , which you cant see in the picture , the wires are not ruing though poles on this part of the route they come from other wires attached from the building.
Edinburgh trams will run from the airport to York place . The test runs for the trams have started part of the route but will be doing the tests for the whole route which include going though princess street in December. we all have to wait till the end of march but there hoping testing wont take that long and should be ruining with passengers before that.
they are hoping in a few years time they will start route two which will branch off from princess street and go to the hospital or go the other way and go to the ocean terminal where it originally was going to end.
