In The Occupied Territory

Secondhand

After the expectation of the weekend with Arya, it is funny how things turnaround. In the early hours of the morning she ended up being sick every where and her dad had to come and take her home again.
Whereupon, in the morning, she made a recovery and spent the day outside playing. Apparently she is feeling not right again tonight.
So June and I set off to Thanestone for the car boot sale and indoor market. We haven't been there for ages, but it was the quietest I have ever seen it.
So after a quick lunch, we had a look around, first of all the few people still selling their secondhand goods at their pitches & then inside to purchase peanuts for the wild birds and a couple of Xmas cards. Also some buns and a handmade steak pie.
The pie! A wonderous and varied item in Britain. Not so in USA when it usually means some fort of fruit dish. Here it can be any type of meat or fish, vegetables even macaroni. You name, it can be done.
