Malala

Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani school pupil who survived an assassination attempt by terrorists for her campaigning for girls education in Pakistan.

Today Gordon Brown launched of the Global Citizenship Commission in Edinburgh. Malala was the guest of honour. She spoke about her experiences and her ambition for a global right to education. She received an honorary degree, given by the dean of Edinburgh Uni and Gordon Brown and a bursary for University fees from the Carnegie Trust.

What an inspirational young woman.

Afternoon was spent catching up with buddies from the Saltire Foundation fellowship and evening was spent enjoying a cocktail with my Geography chums from Uni.
