Everybody's An Expert

I trimmed three trees in my friend's front yard this afternoon. A Red Maple, a Franklinia, and a Tatarian Maple along the street.

This lovely she-cat came along and gave some unsolicited advice on pruning. I was glad to have it, so I took this picture through the Franklinia leaves to remember our little encounter.

This was a bright and beautiful day, and I enjoyed it more because I love trimming trees. Also I'm almost done reading The Girl Who Played With Fire by Stieg Larsson. It's an absolutely brilliant novel --which the rest of the world already knew.
