Embellishment ...

DDW's October Challenge.

A very grey and miserable day. I took a slightly different route home from work this afternoon to take in the Angel of the North.

Designed by Anthony Gormley and erected in 1998. As we only live about a five minute drive away, I am ashamed to say, it is the first time I have visited this structure which embellishes our North East landscape.

B&W was the only way to go on this dreary day, I will try to re-visit on a sunnier day ...
