"Chateau Coindre Hall" . . .
I wanted something different for today's Blip so after the "Y" I headed for Coindre Hall in Huntington . . . Now that I'm looking I found that there were so many blip options that I'll have to return soon to capture another photo. It's a if I was transported to the south of France . . .
This mansion was built in the style of French Chateau architecture and is listed on the National Registry of Historic Sites. It was constructed in 1912 and overlooks 33 acres of rolling land on the North Shore of Long Island Sound. Today the mansion is a popular (however - very expensive) venue for weddings, corporate functions and holiday celebrations.
