School Milk

In my school days during the sixties, the sight of one of these bottles would cause me to shake with dread!

I hated it! You would only be excused partaking if you had a letter from your mother. I would beg my mum to write me a note but of course she wouldn't as she understood the health benefits of said milk.

In the summer it would sit in crates in the playground and would be luke warm by the time it reached the classroom.
In the winter the foil tops would have been pecked open by the birds, so at least there was a ready made hole to poke your drinking straw!

When I saw this replica bottle in a shop at Covent Garden, the memories came flooding back!
I had to buy it, but needless to say, there will be no milk served in it after the creation of this blip!
