Indigo waiting for his lunch
1 year old Indigo is waiting for his Mother, Hlala Kahilli, to pass him some lunch. Gorillas eat their meals in hierarchical order, so Junior here has to wait a short time while his elders help themselves to the food first.
I have some handsome photos of Indigo's Father, Badongo, the dominant silverback, and it was very tricky to choose today's Blip out of 300 odd pics (thought I had grown out of my addictive, obsessive photo shooting!) but I had to choose one of the many Indigo pics!
It was our last day in Jersey and what better way to spend it- at Gerald Durrell's Wildlife Park: seeing the great work they do there to help protect endangered species.
The orangutans, meerkats and bears were wonderful to capture too!
Sad to leave our 'Junior Suite', ha, and sad to be going home to work but pleased to see my little girl, Roxy, and receive a text from my two lovely friends/colleague, holidaying in Spain, to let me know that my match-making has now converted to an engagement-yippee!!
