Why did the turkeys cross the road

To entertain me, of course!

I saw this flock of turkeys on my way to work this morning. I've seen them in the area, but never this close. They sent out 2 scouts to do a test crossing and then the rest followed. Many of them stopped to act like peacocks - I'm not sure if they were fake attacking fake cars, but since they only ever looked in the one direction, I'm not sure how effective they'd be - they didn't seem to notice me standing behind them at all.
