pauvre poule
Left Marseille at 9am and got to Carrie's by about 12-ish? The girls are off school so I got to spend a wee bit of time with them. Paul and Carol (the Sablet guests) called in and we had a great chat with them. Caroline has a poorly hen so we bathed her and Paul had a go at massaging her and checking that she's not egg bound. This involved him and I both putting on rubber gloves, me holding her in the tepid water and washing around her back end, whilst he massaged her tummy to feel for an egg and then put his finger up her bum to check a little further! A braver man than me!
Finally, Carrie decided she wanted to take the hen to the vet, so we drove into Vaison and got her seen to. She's been given a 5-day course of antibiotics. Fingers crossed! If nothing else, we've at least tried!
Did a bit of shopping on my way home and then mum and dad came for tea.
Big Skype with Tash and Luce this evening. It's the first time we've done a 3-way video call and it worked brilliantly! You need the premium version of Skype to have 3 videos at the same time, but it's worth it to have the 3 of us together. Amazing women, my friends.
