Day of the Dead

Today I decided I was staying in and painting my day of the dead skulls with my friend Lori . I have always loved the looks of these skulls. Day of the Dead is a Mexican holiday. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died. In Mexico they build private alters honoring the deceased using sugar skulls, marigolds, and the favorite foods and beverages of the deceased. I do not follow these traditions and I am not Mexican I just love theses skulls. It's a fun project. I have a lot more painting to do before I'm finished, but this is what I've done so far.
