Meadowbank Station Sign
Meadowbank Station along with the neighbouring Tempello Station is soon to celebrate its Centennial. The Grigg families have farmed both properties for just on 100 years. The well –known landmark mountain “The Ned” is on Tempello Station.
The Taylor River tracks alongside parts of the Meadowbank Station are my favourite dog-walking areas. I have been photographing Meadowbank’s new vineyard development and blipping the various images over some months now.
I and a good friend, another photographer, have been asked to cover the Centennial Celebrations over two days at the beginning of November. We are very excited at the prospect of capturing memories for the Grigg families. I will be blipping images from those two days in due course.
Today I met up with Andrew V, the landscaper who has built the impressive new Meadowbank Station sign at the entrance to the property. It is constructed from old Australian hardwood bridge beams and the lettering is made of stainless steel. Andrew is currently finishing off the project with old river rocks and planting of native tussocks. I think it looks most impressive.
