A rather disappointing morning at church - not very inspiring, very few people there, so the singing was rather weak, and the sound was poor - two of the youth were doing a skit, and not using microphones and their voices just didnt carry - I had difficulty hearing what they were saying, let alone Roger's Dad who is rather hard of hearing. Morevoer, it was really cold in the church, so we were glad to get home to our warm house and before long to the smell of our roast joint cooking in the oven. By the time we'd had dinner and coffee and cleared away it was half way through the afternoon, so we didnt go very far today - just to the grounds of the chateau in Fontainebleau. It was a sunny afternoon, but quite cold, especially when you were out of the sun. I think it would have been a bit chilly going for a ride in an open carriage today, but it made for a nice picture!
