Die Burg in Sonnenberg
Or "the castle in Sonnenberg". "Sonne" is sun in German and "Berg" is mountain and "Burg" is castle. I do hope you're taking notes. There will be a test. :-)
I wandered today. It was sunny and there was no Good Reason to just sit and do nothing. Life goes on and all that. And in an interesting linguistic digression, one doesn't say "keep a stiff upper lip" here, rather it's "Halt die Ohren steif!" which is something like "keep your ears stiff".
I've never had a problem with floppy ears but I'm sure there is a first time for everything.
We are off to Scotland tomorrow and the internet free zone that is my mother's house, so there will be nothing to see here until Monday or Tuesday. Probably Tuesday given that we're back late on Monday.
My Mother's funeral is at 1pm (British Summer Time) on Friday. If you would be so kind on Friday evening to raise a glass and drink a toast to Margaret, that would make me smile. Even better would be to do something kind for a stranger or an animal on Friday afternoon - she would approve.
