Rough Landing

Zippy this morning coming in for a dip sip of fresh sugar water.

I don't know when it went dry because the glass bottle is deceiving to look at. It always appears to be filled up to the bend in the glass.  

She let me get within five paces today.  

I tried a new technique, too.  I kept both eyes open.  One eye looking through the view finder, blurry but making sure the bottom of the feeder was centered and in the frame, and the other eye keeping a wider view for the incoming bird.  It seemed to work fairly well, but when I was standing there focused, not moving for several minutes, it put a bit of a strain on my eyes.  I will try it again - though maybe not in the sun.
