Life through the lens...

By ValC

Pretty in pink.

My photo for Breast Cancer Month.
Something that touches us all.

I have friends who have had breast cancer and have recovered.
All so my grandmother had breast cancer before I was born, and had a mastectomy, followed by radium treatment, which in those days was dreadful, but treatment now is so much better thanks to all the research.
She did however live to her late 70's.

Then my mother too had breast cancer when she was in her late 80's.
Only a small lump, which thanks to the drug Tamoxofen never got any bigger.
She lived to 101!

So far I am very thankful that all my lumps which I have had removed or drained have been OK.
(But you never know.)

So a very worth while cause, which we must all support as best we can.

Rain again, but sun this afternoon.
