Woodland Walk

Another very wet day today, haven't seen rain like this for many months. There's water laying in the fields and across the roads and of course the bottom of my driveway! Anyhow it did actually stop and brighten up a little this afternoon. I had to go into Carlisle for a few things so took my friend's dog with me so I could take her for a walk in some woods. I was hoping for lots of autumn colour but its still early. I really wanted to try a slow motion shot of the water and didn't have the tripod so sat the camera on a wall and focused using the flip screen. I should probably have used the self timer button as well, but I didn't. Must remember that next time!

Autumn colour seems to be later this year. I've been looking at last year's blips and this time last year my sister and niece from Australia were visiting and helped me clear up leaves in the garden. Yes there are some leaves in the garden but not enough to warrant clearing them up just yet!
