Breast Cancer Awareness

Today is the birthday of a dear friend of mine, who is a breast cancer survivor.
Yay, for birthdays!
She got the diagnosis while on one of our annual reunions, over five years ago, so we three girlfriends were with her from the get-go.
I so admire her beautiful spirit while under such an emotional and physical attack!
I think this vibrant pink rose, growing out of the thorns, is a good symbol of cancer survival.
For all you ladies out there - don't put off your annual mammogram. It can be a life saver!
