Redshank

I went down to the village this lunchtime after all the heavy squally showers of the late morning. I saw Dolphins in the water of which I took some photos, but as I was about to leave, I had a nice surprise! This Redshank and its partner came and landed on two rocks just a few metres from me. This is the closest I had ever been to a Redshank. This one stood on the rock protruding out of the water for a few seconds, but long enough to fire off a few photos, then it and its partner just up and left with there common Redshank cry. I felt so lucky, that this has to be my blip rather than the Dolphins! I can always go back for the Dolphins! Yay!
