To the woods...

.. to shelter from the rain.

This was an indication of today's weather at lunch time when Wendles56 and I were deciding whether to risk a walk or not. To stay on the safe side we headed for the woods in the St. Ives Estate that would at least afford us some shelter if we got a shower or two.

I love these avenues of trees and liked this for the leaf mould on the ground and the figure in the distance giving some scale. (See large).

In the main we kept dry and were rewarded later with some sun through the trees (see Wendles56) and 3 hinds crossing our path in one of the more popular parts of the estate, just below Lady Blantyres rock where I have never seen them before.
