The final phase of the Thistle

I have been fascinated all year by these plants on the Dunes. First dark green, then sporting a delightful pinky purple tinge, turning lime green during the hot dry Summer months and now with Christmas in sight golden, perfect for flower arranging and seasonal decorations.
