Vodka, back and front
We've been clearing out the sitting room, dining room, landing and stairs, stripping the carpet and taking it all off to the tip.
This involved clearing cupboards etc. to lighten them for moving everything into the kitchen and upstairs, where possible.
Amongst the plethora of stuff we moved I found my old Vodka bottle that the students in Moscow gave me after I had given them a 2 week course on Meridian 1 Option11 Installation and Maintenance (a small Nortel Networks PABX telephone system).
This was in 1997 and the bottle is a commemorative issue for the anniversary of Moscow being founded in 1147, the city's 850th anniversary.
I'm not a drinker but it was a wonderful present.
At the front of the bottle there is a clear panel which magnifies the impression of St Basils Cathedral (which is located in Red Square). When you look at the rear of the bottle the cathedral is smaller and is embossed onto the glass.
