Great British Weather

It really is no surprise that the weather is a favourite topic of conversation for the British. We really do have such variety and in such a short space of time. On Sunday I was driving through torrential rain. By the afternoon, there were floods all around, road closures and deep fords on previously dry roads. That weather spread into the early part of the week, and it rained heavily last night. By this afternoon, however, it was sunny, relatively warm, and really pleasant outside.

Here the late afternoon sun is catching the early fallen leaves from one of the oak trees on the common.
