Beam me up Scotty!

I spotted his electric car charging point in my office car park today - I'm assuming it's new. How cool! I also believe charging is free.

I tried an electric car a while back. It was fun but I worry if you got into a traffic jam and you run out of power. Also, to charge takes a couple of hours which would be difficult if you were driving long distances.

All of the above said, for short journeys to and from work, and where there's charging facilities, make this a realistic option though the price of the cars at the moment is high, I think.
