The Storm that Carried Off My Greenhouse…
…also felled the tree that blocked my view of The Gap, and today the one obscuring Castle Hill Peak vanished! It's years since I had this view from my back step. The two trees that flank Mount Torlesse are on a different property and will probably remain.
Castle Hill Peak, the one on the left, is the highest point of the Torlesse Range, and The Gap is its distinguishing feature, as viewed from the Canterbury Plains.
Today has been wild, with mighty wind gusts, hot sunshine, threatening clouds, lashing rain, and rainbows. Several times each and in no particular order.
My greenhouse frame is now with the tunnel house builder to see if it is worth fixing.
