In Our Square? I Don't Think So!

A little while ago a series of designs was put on display for the approval of the people who consider themselves Glaswegians. Which of four or five fantabulous and exotic sweeping swirls would the citizenry prefer to replace the current layout of George Square. Fountains; interactive media; statuary. It would be a triumph!

So, the Weegies discussed and complained and argued and ranked the designs in order..... absolutely, definitely never up to If we absolutely have to! Then they spoke further

"See what you did last time you changed our Square? You took away half of the grass! You removed trees! You plastered it with that hideous red gunk and kept filling it with money-spinning events.

Well ... stuff your daft designs!! Just give us back the grass, the trees and lots of space so that wee boys can chase the pigeons! Okay, Pal?"

And faced with the wrath of the Weegeratti, the Big Noises backed down. And saved us all a fortune. And the wee boys and the skyrats were happy!
