The Littlest Sunflower...

This wee felly was a bit of a stowaway.

We've got a couple of flower pots sitting by our front door which haven't held much in a couple of years. This year, the usual wee sprout of weeds appeared which I cordially cut back but in amongst them I noticed a familiar two leaf sprout.

Dug it out and gave it a bit of space and hey presto, the latest blooming sunflower of summer, reaching a grand height of 10 cm.
