Tom turkey

This is one of our male Royal Palm turkeys. In the lower left corner you can see just the head of one of the females. (Try large) I have a basket hanging in their outdoor pen and I put lettuce leaves in the basket as a treat, every couple of days (I saw the idea on the internet). When we had fresh lettuce in the garden this summer I gave them that. They are very sociable - whenever someone comes near the pen they start strutting around and making lots of gobbling noise.

Another blustery day. I saw some snow flurries while walking Riley. We started up the wood stove yesterday and now the house is toasty warm.
