Eye to Eye

The scale of the Kelpies at Falkirk took me by surprise as I drove down the M9 for the first time in months. You can get an idea how big they are by viewing this image in large and comparing the worker on the crane to the eye of the Kelpie.

Normally the most striking thing on this stretch of the motorway is the Grangemouth complex on the north side of the M9 with only the Falkirk FC stadium for competition. Given the news of the last few days it seems that before long there may be nothing but the stadium to compete for attention.
