Beer in Devon

This is a view from part of the South West Coastal Path which my friend L and I decided to walk along today. This was practically the last view of the sea, strange as we weren't that far from it. We walked to Seaton from Beer but had to go inland because of a landslip and there is a new, well signed stretch of path then walked up to the Axe Cliff Golf Course, well named. The path then travelled parallel with the sea but is an area called the undercliffs which must be the nearest to a rain forest I have ever seen in Southern England. Massive trees and lots of ferns, Hart's Tongue of huge porportions. This was not an easy walk, really hard going. We travelled about 10 miles but so many inclines and steps, muddy and slippery. We were both glad we took our poles. Great fresh air and no rain but this walk will not be repeated. Lyme Regis was grateful reached about 4.00pm
