Another Old House

What a day. Got a code first thing to see a house....hmmm...we'll pass on that house I think. Got the hardwood floor polyurethane'd. And got a fence up as well. All in all a good day.

But back to this house. The price was $12k which is suspiciously low. You know it's not going to be pretty. It makes the house the other day that we saw look like a palace.

The place today was nothing like that. It was a big house, probably 1300sq feet with some good sized rooms and bedrooms. And then it went downhill. The interior was tongue and groove nearly all the way through the building. Where there was drywall - that just needed tearing out. It was in need of help.

Whether it will sell for $12k, I doubt it. You'd need $10k the moment you bought it, and several spare months - and you'd still need to fit central air again. A local had a poke round it whilst we were there and he really liked it.

What really let the property down was the neighbourhood though. Yeah....no.
