Ghost Nets
Had a bit of a kerfuffle this morning, was meant to go up to the Koala sanctuary via a chillaxing river cruise but had a problematic morning. This ended with us getting a bit lost in South Brisbane where our boat was meant to leave from and missing it.
In order to salvage the day we went to the Brisbane Museum which was actually really interesting. We learnt about the wildlife and the marine life and about why the houses here are so peculiarly built.
The reef in this picture is made out of 'ghost nets', fishing nets that have been lost or cut loose and that drift in the ocean currents entangling sea creatures and generally causing havoc.
