Beets and Beat

Beets ready for cooking. The greens will get put up with a few bunches of kale I'm about to parboil and then freeze.
Then, I'll start on a double batch of curried butternut squash soup for tomorrow night and freeze the rest for a lunch in a couple of weeks.
The lunch is for a group of jazz players Eric gets together with about once a month. They play music and then have lunch. It's always at Ruth and Everett's and she calls it Jam 'n Soup. Next time is my turn to bring the soup and join them to eat.
Oh, the Beat part is that I'm tired and off to bed I'm going; it's after 10 after all.
