Our Coal.

We have oil central heating, which is still not working properly, but that's a different story.
However, we also have a coal fire in the living room. It's not connected to the central heating or anything, but we like it. The downside is having to clear it out every morning and also it creates a lot of dust.
We burn two types of coal.
The coal pictured here is group one. This is meant to be the highest grade as it burns well with little ash. It went up in price last March and is going up in price again next month!!!! As you can see, our coalbunker is pretty full as we had a delivery last week.The coalman tells me it comes from South America, possibly Colombia, so this is very well travelled coal you are looking at.
The other type of coal is ecobrite and it is a smokeless coal. It is really good for toasting bread on.

It's getting very dark here and I suspect rain is not far away.
