speckled snakebush
Wildflower season is still happening so rather than blipping the dreaded arrival of seemingly acres of christmas decorations in shops and department stores, here is another little floral beauty.
This is one of eight species of the genus Hemiandra all endemic to the south west of Western Australia.
Today on our afternoon walk, I treasured a beautiful Red Tailed Cockie feather and spotted not only this ground snaking speckled flower but also Blue Lechenaultia, Blue Lady Orchids and a swag of different colored pea flowers.
This really has been a spectacular season.
