Wrong lens

Went off to the Bone Dungeon this afternoon, but the material hadn't been washed and sorted yet, so a wasted trip.
I thought that a wander up the Water might be pleasant, as the grey cloud had been blown away and the sun was making appearances. I did see a pair of kingfishers (heart-stopping as always) but having expected that I would be taking technical shots of bones, I only had my 105mm macro lens on. It's beautiful and opens up to f2.8, but not really the best for distant, tiny birds :/
Still, I'm always happy to capture a goosander...
